So Ashlee is on the Color Guard Squad. When I was in High School they were the "flag line" but they were also all the fat girls that couldn't make cheerleading. I made the mistake of telling Ashlee that ... LOL. Then re-assured her that it definitely was NOT the case at her school. They're actually really good.
So last night they had their first performance in their uniforms. Now mind you they had never SEEN their uniforms ... now we know why the coach hid them. Actually, in his defense he had no idea what they were going to look like either. Apparently the board or someone who obviously is BLIND designs them.
Anywhoooo here's the best pictures I could get of Ashlee and the uniforms. Let me describe them .... copper lamay (sp) pants, sky blue top and then some (like ashlee) had split forest green sleeves, and some had a green sash that went under one arm ... they were interesting to say the least. And they still have their practice flags which are bright orange. I'm almost scared to see the new ones. Poor girls! But they did so good!! I'm really impressed with how good they are doing. But I guess after practicing everyday this summer for EIGHT hours, they better be!
Sorry the pictures are so small, but you can click on them to enlarge. Also we took a video but it was too big to post so I'll make it smaller next time.
Ashlee is the one with the arrow :)
